Objective:To analysis the clinical application value of fractional exhaled nitric oxide in the treatment of bronchial asthma and the relationship with lung function. Methods: Xinjiang Medical University affiliated fifth hospital from February 2013 to March 2013 hospitalized patients with bronchial asthma, for selected patients with acute aggravating period, choose according to the severity of the disease classification in patients with mild and moderate asthma,75 cases in each group; Asthma group was given 0.3g doxofylline of venous transfusion,1 time/day, oral 10mg montelukast,1 time/per night,5mg salbutamol sulphate and 2mg budesonide,3 times/day. Before giving patients treatment, we must give people FENO detection, pulmonary function testing, bronchial provocation tests or bronchial relaxation test; giving FENO detection and lung function test again after treatment. Results:Gender, age, course of disease, weight and height of two groups of patients were no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). FEV1, PEF, FENO index compared before and after treatment of two groups of patients were statistically significant difference(P<0.05), and after treatment FENO was lower than before and mild asthma was lower. FEV1 and PEF after treatment were higher than the former. FENO, FEV1 and PEF indexes before and after treatment in the case group compared with control group, the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05). FENO was unrelated with sex. Two groups of patients before treatment, FENO was negatively related with FEV1 and PEF (r=-0.169, P=0.039; r=-0.157, P=0.045) before treatment. FENO after treatment with FEV1 and PEF were no correlation (r=-0.026, P=0.749; r=-0.158, P=0.054). Conclusion:Fractional exhaled nitric oxide is unrelated with sex, can suggest the severity of airway inflammation, and it is better than lung function in evaluating the effect of asthma, assisting in the diagnosis of asthma, assessing the degree of asthma control, predicting the acute attack of asthma.
