Study On "Bi" Disease’s Name And Reality Before Song Dynasty

There are some confusion has always exists in the process of the research on the history of diseases in TCM, Study on history of disease by"TCM disease name as the key link", is considered to be the most feasible method. But the TCM disease name becomes very complicated in the historical process, so carefully check the disease name’s connotation is the first condition to study the history of disease"Bi disease" is a general term for a type of disease, study on the history of "Bi disease" is to research a class of disease, these diseases are both common also have personality, can not be completely split, and can not be mixed. So I take the method of Study on its "name and reality", in order to reflect previous human’s understanding of the disease.First of all, this paper has done research of the "Bi disease" on the Chinese literature before the Song Dynasty, through the statistics of the distribution of it, to analysis the morpheme’s features and word formation rules, So we can have a general grasp of "Bi disease"’s situation, and explore the reason of the diseases has a multitude of names."Bi disease" were about 377 species in traditional Chinese medicine literature before Song Dynasty, Its appearance frequency for 1426 times.In the course of history,many disease’s name were eliminated or c hanged, but there has been an increase in the total number of disease ’s name.These 377 kinds of disease’s name were composed by only 74 mo rpheme, and among them 25 single morpheme and the word "Bi" have form ed the main part of disease’s name, Multiple morpheme combination the word "Bi" formation all of the remaining disease’s name. Multiple mo rpheme word can be 2,3 or even 4 word combination; morphemescombinati on, morphemepositiontransformation, modificationofadditional before and after the morpheme, is the most common method to name disease associ ated with "Bi".Secondly, through the study of the "name", extract 31 kinds of cor e "Bi disease"’s name, According to medical historical data related, t o do a detailed textual research of the core of "Bi disease"’s name m eaning. And its etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, treatment experience were analyzed and compared according to medical historical data rela ted.
