Objective:To investigate the value of vectorcardiogram(VCG) and electrocardiogram(ECG) in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods:We observed and compared 107 suspicious CAD patients’ VCG, ECG and cardio angiography(CAG) results in our cardiology department from the September,2013 to May,2014. Results:(1)In this study, the suspicious CAD patients were finally confirmed the diagnosis by CAG, ECG’s diagnostic accordance rate was 69.16%, while VCG’s was 77.57%, the difference between them was statistically significant(P<0.05). (2) As for the 57 CAG confirmed CAD patients, VCG offered higher sensitivity, Jordan index and consistent than ECG did. The difference of positive rate was statistically significant (P<0.05). (3) In the receiver operating characteristiccurve(ROC), ROC area under the curve(AUC) of VCG is 0.78, and ECG’s is 0.71. Conclusion:In patients with suspicious CAD, VCG as a noninvasive, simple method, which has a higher application value, should be used with ECG together in order to promote the accuracy of diagnosis of CAD patents.
