ObjectiveThis study included cases of Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome(NRDS) and 14 risk factors for neonatal respiratory distress syndrome clinical appear. Those 14 risk factors include gestational age, prenatal intervention, fetal gender, very low birth weight infant, birth weight, fetal distress in uterus, birth asphyxia, amniotic fluid aspiration, placental abruption, maternal age, history of pregnancies and births, elective cesarean section, gestational diabetes mellitus and intrauterine infection. This study also discussed the high risk factors of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome. The study in order to provide clinical basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome.MethodsCollected the infants(totally 122) with NRDS and infants(totally 122) without NRDS in recent 3 years in the neonatology departments of Chinese People’s Liberation Army Eighty-Eight Hospital in Tai’an city and Bayi children’s hospital affiliated to the military general hospital of Beijing PLA.Compared those two groups infants and made comparative studies on neonatal basic information, morbidity and prognosis. Made multivariate regression analysis and calculated relative risk.ResultsCompared research group and control group on totally 10 relative factors include gestational age, fetal gender, prenatal intervention, birth weight, birth asphyxia, fetal distress in uterus, elective cesarean section, pregnant women age, gestational diabetes mellitus, intrauterine infection. Those differences have statistical significance(P<0.05).Multi-factor Logistic regression analysis shows that gestational age, fetal gender, prenatal intervention, birth weight, birth asphyxia and fetal distress in uterus are the high risk factors of NRDS(P<0.05).Conclusions NRDS has relationship with gestational age, fetal gender, prenatal intervention, birth weight, birth asphyxia and fetal distress. The infants who had elective cesarean section and certain pregnancy complications must maintain keen vigilance at NRDS. Meanwhile, compare with other seven high risk factors, the smaller of gestational age, the easier for infants have NRDS.
