BackgroundAbortion is the main remedial measure after the failure of contraception. According to the data that describe the condition of the abortion in our country, about 65% is 20 to 29-year-old unmarried women, under 25-year-old women that repeat abortions reach to 34.9%. Abortion can do harm to the women’s physical and mental health. Some research has shown that 66.7% women could show self-reported symptoms and mental block, such as dizzy, weak, doldrums, sleep disorders and so on. Consider that modern medicine focus on the recovery of the pain and vaginal bleeding but the recovery of mental, sleeping and diet. So we should put more attention on the recovery of the women’s mental and physical after the abortion.ObjectiveThe study follows the DME principles and methods, assess the recovery after abortion by using randomized controlled clinical trials and observing the changes in pain, depression, sleep, diet and the amount and timing of vaginal bleeding to explore the effect of auricular-seed-pressing therapy combined with bioelectrical feedback therapy on promoting recovery of the patients after artificial abortion and provide a theoretical basis for further clinical application.MethodsIn this study, a prospective randomized controlled trials of parallel design,90 selective patients (all met the screening criteria) were randomly divided into three groups: ① treatment group 1 (using auricular-seed pressing therapy+bioelectrical feedback therapy). ② treatment group 2 (using bioelectrical feedback therapy) ③ control group:blank control; the patients are asked to keep warm, add nutrition and pay attention to personal hygiene primary based health education. Compare the changes of abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, spirit, sleep, diet of patients after abortion in all groups. Result:The difference of VAS scores 30 minutes after the abortion among three groups was statistically significant (P<0.01); the VAS scores of treatment group 1 and the treatment group 2 showed no significant difference (P> 0.05). The VAS scores of treatment group 1 and the treatment group 2 were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). The difference of VAS scores 24 hours after the abortion among three groups showed no significant difference (P> 0.05). The difference of time of vaginal bleeding after abortion among three groups were statistically significant (P<0.01); the treatment group 1 was significantly lower than the other two groups (P<0.05); the treatment group 2 was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). The treatment group 1 was better than the other two groups in promoting the spirit of abortion patients, sleep, diet recovering, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).ConelusionAuricular-seed-pressing therapy and bioelectrical feedback therapy can effectively promote the recovery of patient who undergo an artificial abortion especially in reducing pain and shortening the time of vaginal bleeding. Auricular-seed-pressing therapy after abortion promote the spirit, sleep and diet. Auricular-seed-pressing therapy and bioelectrical feedback therapy both play an important role in rehabilitation after abortion. The method which combines these two treatment means has unique advantages in rehabilitation after abortion.
