Objectives Observe the clinical efficacy of the combined efforts of the long scorpion eliminate water plaster and the intraperitoneal chemotherapy in the treatment of malignant ascites. Make the comprehensive judgment of this medical application based on the improvements in the bloating, eating less, and sleep loss of the patients with ascites and evaluate the safety. Explore its possible mechanism of action, and further improvements on it.Method Collect information of the hospitalized patients in the south and west districts of the Chinese medical oncology department, Anhui Provincial Hospital in the period of time between February 2013 and January 2015. Select 32 patients as samples according to the relevant standards and divide them in order of treatment into 2groups stochastically, the one as “Test” for the combined application of long scorpion eliminate water plaster and the intraperitoneal chemotherapy in treatment, the other one as “Contrast” for the single application of the intraperitoneal chemotherapy without long scorpion eliminate water plaster. Measure the maximum depth of the peritoneal effusion, the abdominal circumference and the ascites drainage at the time of 7 days after the peritoneal perfusion before and after the respective treatment for all these 32 patients and record the data. Research the influence of the malignant peritoneal effusion on the life of patients, record the Karnofsky Performance Status of all the selected patients before and after the respective treatment. Evaluate the developments in the bloating, diet and the sleep of patients in the period of treatment.Gather all the data after the treatment and process them with SPSS17.0. Analyse the statistics and make the conclusion.Result1. curative effect: the response rate of group “Test” is 28.57%, the disease control rate of group “Test” is 71.43%. The response rate of group “Contrast” is 27.78%,the disease control rate of group “Contrast” is 77.78%. With the “Fisher Exact Test”, p>0.05, there is no statistical significant difference. There is no statistical significant difference between the group “Test” and the group “Contrast” in the ascites elimination and the development of the abdominal circumference. The long scorpion eliminate water plaster doesn’t impact on the ascites elimination.2. ascites drainage at the time of 7 days after the peritoneal perfusion : group Test985.71 ± 839.283 ml, group “Contrast” 1988.89 ± 320.731 ml. Through the comparison of the two-sample t-test, p<0.05, the difference between the groups is statistical significant. The ascites drainage of the group Test is less than the drainage of the group “Contrast”.3. Impact on the quality of life: group “Test”, remarkable improved-5 samples,improved-3 samples, stable-4 samples, declined-2 samples, rate of the improvement 57.14%. Group “Contrast”, remarkable improved-1 sample,improved-7 samples, stable-4 samples, declined-4 samples, rate of the improvement 44.44%. The difference between the ex ante and the ex post treatment is statistical significant(p<0.05). Both groups are improved in the quality of life after the respective treatment and the status of the group “Test” is significant better.4. Safety: no significant untoward effects in the group “Test”Conclusion1. No curative effect for the ascites elimination through the combined application of the long scorpion eliminate water plaster and the intraperitoneal chemotherapy in treatment.2. Significant improvement in the bloating, eating less, and sleep loss of the patients by the application of the long scorpion eliminate water plaster in treatment.3. Significant improvement in the quality of life of patients by the application of the long scorpion eliminate water plaster in treatment.4. The long scorpion eliminate water plaster is safe and effective.
