ObjectiveThis research focused on the clinical curative effect of Fu Yang moxibustion in treating the chronic fatigue syndrome of spleen and kidney yang deficiency type, and was to prove that this therapy is an effective, safe, green therapy in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome with spleen and kidney yang deficiency type, and its application and promotion in clinical practice.MethodsUsing randomized controlled method, collected 60 cases met the criteria and were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each. The treatment group used Fu Yang moxibustion therapy,2 times a week, 6 times for a course of treatment, continuous treatment of 2 courses of treatment, and the control group adopted conventional needle acupuncture to treat,1 times a day,3 times a week,9 times for a course of treatment. Both of two groups were continuously treated 2 courses. Respectively before and after the treatment, the scores of two groups on spleen and kidney yang deficiency symptom, fatigue scale-14 (FS-14), and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) were calculated, and then were statistically analyzed. The curative effect was assessed through comparing the scores before and after the treatment in each group and the scores between the two groups.ResultsBefore treatment, compared two groups of patients in general information (gender, age) and severity of illness (course, spleen and kidney yang deficiency symptom score, fatigue scale-14, self-rating anxiety scale), the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), suggesting that the baseline of two groups was consistent and comparable. Compared respectively in each group before and after treatment, the spleen kidney yang deficiency symptom score, fatigue scale-14 scores, self rating anxiety scale scores after treatment all were significantly lower than that before treatment, there were statistically significant differences (P<0.01). After treatment, compared with two groups, spleen and kidney yang deficiency symptom score, fatigue scale-14 score, and self rating anxiety scale scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group, and the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05. Comparison of the improved values between groups after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), showing that the improvement of treatment group in spleen and kidney yang deficiency symptom score, fatigue scale-14 score, self rating anxiety scale score were better than the control group. After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90%, while the control group was 69%, so it is obvious the treatment group was higher than that of the control group. Compared the overall efficacy of the two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), suggesting that the clinical effect of treatment group was more significant.ConelusionBoth of two therapies can improve the spleen and kidney yang deficiency symptoms, the degree of fatigue and anxiety to a certain degree, while Fu Yang moxibustion therapy in the improvement extent is obviously better than that of routine acupuncture therapy, and is more significant in clinical effect.
