The Study Of A Review And Assessment Of Malaysian Professor Ngeow Sze Chan Experience In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 Disease

This thesis is about summary of core ideas, personal philosophy views and clinical experiences of Malaysia famous chinese medical practitioner Professor Rao Shiquan regarding treatment of 2 types of diabetes.Under the guidance of Professor Li Saimei, i am studying the personal view, dialectical thinking and clinical experience characteristic of Professor Ngeow Sze Chan regarding treatment of diabetes.Professor Ngeow Sze Chan is Malaysia well-known chinese medical practitioner. He was using his whole life to strive for local chinese medical career.He is one of the chinese medical practitioner that came from China in earlier time. He and his peers founded FCPMDAM when chinese medical sector facing difficult challenge, and established MCMA afterward, and built up many achievements.Professor Ngeow Sze Chan always stepped forward and argued on the basis of reasons when western medical made up unfair criticism again their chinese medical peers, and he selflessly foster the people that needed when local chinese medical sector facing talent shortage issue. His selfgiving spirit, made himself a well-respected man forever.I interviewed some of his students (e. g. Xie Qi) and attended Professor Ngeow Sze Chan Memorial Seminar, to study his literary works and referred to other literatures to compose this thesis.Contents of this thesis including 2 parts:Chapter 1, summary of clinical experiences of Professor Ngeow Sze Chan regarding treatment of 2 types of diabetes, and Chapter 2, summary of chinese and western medical research literatures regarding 2 types of diabetes.For the study of Professor Ngeow Sze Chan’s clinical experiences, the main contents including his biography, his academic point of views, summary of clinical experiences of 2 types of diabetes, personal views of ancient literatures, personal gained knowledges and characteristics of using medicines.The said literatures include data of chinese and western medical regarding 2 types of diabetes. Western medical portion includes epidemiological, etiology research, pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, complications, preventive treatment and disease management.While Chinese medical portion includes pathogenesis, dialectical classification and treatment summary.For the pathogenesis of 2 types of diabetes, Professor Ngeow Sze Chan stated that the main causes are the weakening of organism gas and dysfunction of the spleen in transport, and suggested his view of "Loss of "yin" in kidney" theory.He believed, treatment of 2 types of diabetes should emphasize in nourishing "yin", stimulate functinal activities of "qi" in metabolism, aid with promoting blood circulation to remove obstruction, to prevent and cure its complications.For daily diet of a patient, he suggested to emphasize in diet coordination, and Three-pronged approach to heal diabete.Last part is epilogue of this thesis, references, attached pictures and acknowledgements.
