| Objective To study the clinical effect and outcome of Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System(SDS)in treating the cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR) caused by cervical intervertebral disc herniation. Before and after treatment, through the observation in patients with clinical symptoms, clinical signs and the size of the intervertebral disc herniationand, and then discussed the clinical application value of non-surgical spinal decompression treatment for CSR caused by cervical intervertebral disc herniation. Methods Fifty-two cases conformed to standards were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 26 cases in each. Before treatment, the health education was accepted in both groups, and medication, physical therapy were accepted as conventional treatments. On the basis of conventional treatments, the treatment group was treated by non-surgical spinal decompression, while the control group was given traditional traction treatment. Before and after the treatment, the two groups’ VAS score, 20 points quantitative score and the largest cross-sectional area of intervertebral disc herniation were observed and compared. All the data was analyzed through thesoftware SPSS17.0, compared the two groups of patients of VAS score, 20 points quantitative score and the largest cross-sectional area of the intervertebral disc herniation before and after the treatment, and analyzed the treatment efficacy of the two groups. Results Before treatment, two groups of patients of the VAS score were no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),but after treatment, the VAS score in two groups were improved and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the improvement of the treatment group is significant, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05); Before treatment, two groups of patients of the 20 points quantitative score were no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),but after treatment, the 20 points quantitative score in two groups were improved, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the improvement of the treatment group is significant, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05); Before treatment, two groups of patients of the largest cross-sectional area of intervertebral disc herniation were no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),but after treatment, the largest cross-sectional area of intervertebral disc herniation in two groups were improved, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while the improvement of the treatment group is significant, and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05);And the clinical curative effect of pain relief rate, clinical period and herniated intervertebral disc ’s return rate were significantly higher than the control group, and these differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).ConclusionsFor treatment on CSR caused by cervical intervertebral disc herniation, SDS can greatly make the herniated disc’s return and fundamentally release the pressure on nerve root, efficacy significantly, better than the traditional traction treatment. It is worth further researching and widely using on clinic. |
