Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of serum human epididymis protein 4(HE4) and CA125 in diagnosis of endometrial cancer by meta-analysis.Method:We searched English and Chinese database include Cochrane library, PUBMED, MEDLINE, EMBASE, CK-NI, CBN, VIP, WANFANG DATABASE for the literatures relate to combined detection of HE4 and CA125 versus the golden standard(pathological examination) in diagnosis of endometrial carcinoma from inception to January 2015. Meanwhile, relevant journals were also searched manually, and reviewed the references from the relevant literatures, articles language unlimited. Two different systematic reviewers independently screened literatures and determined the included literatures to assess their quality, then Meta analysis the result by Revman5.0 and Meta-Disc1.4 software.Result:There are 12 studies being analyzed finally, these studies totally involving 1995 women,1075 of them confirmedly diagnosed to be EC patients according to the golden standard,920 of them were control group(359 with begin uterine disease and 516 were health controls). The results of meta-analysis showed that, as for serum HE4+CA125 in diagnosis of endometrial cancer(pooled sensitivity is 0.58 [95% CI (0.55, 0.61)], pooled specificity is 0.92[95%CI(0.0.90,0.93)], pooled positive likelihood ratio is 7.1 [95 CI (3.54,14.27)], pooled negative likelihood ratio is 0.46 [95% CI (0.39,0.53)], pooled DOR is 16.02 [95% CI (7.69, 33.67)], the pooled area under curve is 0.8698).Conclusion:The current study indicates that the combined detection of serum HE4 and CA125 has higher sensitive, specific and area under curve (AUC) in diagnosis of endometrial carcinoma, which is worth of being used in clinic.
