Quality Of Life Assessment Of Patients With Scalp Psoriasis Using The Chinese Version Of The Scalpdex

ObjectiveTo assess quality of life in patients with scalp psoriasis using the Chinese version of the Scalpdex, and to validate the instrument in Chinese.The results of this study can be used as a new index for judging the severity and efficacy of scalp psoriasis China damaged, and with international standards.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted where 214 persons with skin disease responded to Scalp psoriasis quality of life survey. Scalp psoriasis quality of life survey has been made of 6 parts, including informed consent, demographic data, history of psoriasis,history of scalp psoriasis,treatment history of scalp psoriasis and Scalpdex.The survey was conducted in outpatients with psoriasis which came from Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine,and inpatients with psoriasis which came from No.195 PLA Hospital between August and December 2014.ResultsIn the Chinese version of Scalpdex,the internal reliable Cronbach’s a of overall,symptoms dimension,emotional dimension and function dimension is 0.945> 0.865 、0.931 and 0.817 respectively.The result is demonstrated same, stabilize and reliable. The Spearman rank correlation coefficient comparison has been carried out in each items and dimension, demonstrated it has a high content validity.The factors influencing the quality of life of patients with scalp psoriasis is cultural degree and severity, the higher level of education, the quality of life is low; the higher the degree, the lower the quality of life.ConclusionsThe assessment of Chinese version of the Scalpdex measurement properties shows that it is a quite reliable and a valid instrument to measure quality of life in Chinese patients with scalp psoriasis. Comparison of different scalp psoriasis scores, we need to increase the amount of the research samples.
