Objective:To investigate the relationship between the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen Ki-67 in prostate cancer and prognosis, and explore whether Ki-67 can be a predictor in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer and an important parameter of prostate cancer recurrences. And then guide the treatment and prognosis of prostate cancer in clinic. Methods:All specimens were collected from Department of Urology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from september 2009 to september 2014.The Ki-67 staining index was detected by immunohistochemical.Clinical datas were collected including age of patients, Gleason score, preoperative and postoperative PSA value, operation procedure, lymph metastasis and surgical margin by retrospectively analysis. The relationships were analyzed between Ki-67 staining index with datas above. According to the postoperative recurrence, all cases were divided into two groups postoperative recurrence group and nonpostoperative recurrence group, and then compare the differences of the datas between the two groups. Results:In 29 cases of prostate cancer, the average Ki-67 staining index was 10%±36.5% and 58.6% in positive expression, including 3 strong positive cases,9 positive cases and 5 weak positive cases. The Ki-67 staining index was positively correlated with the Gleason score value (r=0.562,P<0.05) but no the age(r=-0.061,P>0.05).Postoperative recurrence was occurred in 9 cases, including 1 cases of died of systemic metastasis. There were significant difference between the recurrence groups and non recurrence groups of the Ki-67 staining value, Gleason score, preoperative PSA and postoperative PSA (P<0.05).And the recurrence groups were significantly higher than that non recurrence groups. There were no significant difference between the two groups of operation procedure, lymph metastasis and surgical margin (P>0.05).Conclusion:1)The Ki-67 staining value is closely related with prostate cancer postoperative recurrence and can be the credible index of judging prostate prostate cancer postoperative recurrence in 25% and 50%.2) Prostate cancer postoperative recurrenc can be closely associated with Gleason score and preoperative and postoperative PSA values, but no operation procedure, lymph metastasis and surgical margin.3) The Ki-67 staining value was positively correlated with Gleason score, but no age.
