A Study On The Content Of Preoperative Visiting Implemented By Nurses Of Cardiac Surgical ICU

Objectives: Establishment of content standard for preoperative visitimplemented by nurses of cardiac surgical ICU will provide scientific andnormative supervision content standard to the implementation of preoperativecardiac surgery ICU nurses, to ensure the effect and quality of preoperativevisit.Methods:1 Take phenomenology method of qualitative research, and collectpreoperative information demand and postoperative ICU experiences andemotional experience of cardiac surgery patients through semi-structuredinterviews. Develop the framework of preoperative visit content standard onthe basis of literature analysis and the qualitative research.2 The content standard of preoperative visit was determined throughamendment and supplement in the two rounds of consulting by Delphitechnique, using SPSS13.0 statistical software for statistical processing.Results:1 Understand the main demand for information of preoperative patientsthrough the qualitative research: the information demand for ICU environment;the psychosocial support information demand; the information demand forvisit system and preparation. Six themes were drawn from the interview withthe patients who had experienced ICU, including preoperative direction andeducation to the patients.2 A set of scientific and standard content of preoperative visit wasdeveloped by two rounds of Delphi experts consultation. In the first round ofexpert consultation, the rate of questionnaire recovery is 88.2%, in the secondround of consultation, questionnaire recovery rate is 100%; The consultingquestionnaire effectiveness is 100% in the two rounds, With expert level ofauthority and authority system,we obtained that experts group authoritycoefficient were 0.97 and 0.82. After two rounds of consulting, variousobjective importance mean ranged from 3.20 to 5.00, and the variationcoefficient ranged from 0.00 to 0.13. the application of the coefficient ofKendall’ W was statistically significant( second-level entries: Kendall’s W=0.511, P=0.000; third-level entries: Kendall’s W=0.348, P=0.000). As aresult,a set of content of preoperative visit consisted of 3 first-level entries(preoperative evaluation, preoperative education, preoperative guidance), 13second-level entries and 68 third-level entries.Conclusion:A set of scientific and standard content of preoperative visitimplemented by nurses of cardiac surgical ICU was developed.
