A Study On Radiological Health Supervision System In Guangzhou

With the rapid development of medical and health undertakings in China, radiological diagnosis and treatment technology has been increasingly applied in the medicine domain, with radiological protection receiving growing attention of the public. It is especially necessary to further strengthen medical radiation protection management and make efforts in radiological health supervision. A perfect supervision system guarantees orderly implementation of radiological health supervision. The radiological health supervision system in Guangdong, however, suffers from overlapping functions among supervisory departments, a weak supervision team as well as incompetent technical service institutions. It is a difficult task for administrative health authorities and health supervision institutions at all levels as to well practice radiological health supervision under the new situation.This paper starts with the basic concepts of radiological health supervision system and the development history of the radiological health supervision system in China. Then it provides a systematic introduction on medical radiological supervision systems in the United States, Japan and Hong Kong as well as the food safety supervision system in China, together with a summary of the beauties that can serve as the reference. Finally, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the current condition of the radiological health supervision system in Guangzhou, analyzes the existing problems and reasons, and suggests to emphasize the "top level design", develop a global strategic viewpoint, further improve the radiological health supervision system by way of transforming government functions and deepening system reform, as well as puts forward measures to improve the radiological health supervision system in Guangzhou and strengthen its supervisory powers and law enforcement capabilities in supervisory authorities, supervisory system and technical service providers, with the aim to provide administrative departments with theoretical reference in policy making.
