Objective:To understand the prevalence of hypertension and effect factors of adult residents in Xingtai.Methods : The Data was from one Xingtai’s hospital physical examination results from 2010 to 2014. Age, gender, height, weight, systolic pressure, diastolic blood pressure, blood fat, fasting plasma glucose and other informations were collected in this study. All the objects were adults. The survey sample size were 2779, 7604, 7818, 7818 and 7861 respective. The SPSS 19.00 software was used to analyze data. Statistic methods were used such as descriptive statistics methods,chi-square test and multivariate unconditional logistic regression. All statistical analysis for significance was two-sided with P-values of less than 0.05.Results :The total hypertension prevalence of local residents form 2010 to 2014 were 42.97%, 43.71%, 44.10%, 44.84% and 43.72% respective. For male adults, the prevalence were 50.91%, 50.52%, 51.69%, 52.04% and 50.55% respectively. For male adults, the prevalence were 27.57%, 28.33%, 29.12%, 29.71%, 29.71% respectively. The standardized prevalence from 2010 to 2014 was 45.45%, 44.33%, 44.66%, 43.77% and 42.28% respectively. 50.15%, 50.36%, 52.08%, 51.07%, 49.45% for males respectively and 28.86%, 30.62%, 29.61%, 28.98%, 27.92% for females respectively. The single factors analysis indicated that the prevalence of hypertension was higher in men than that in women. It is increased with age rising. Its prevalence is correlated with gender, aged, BMI, diabetes, blood fat. Multiple logistic regression analysis indicated that aged, overweight and obesity, gender,diabetes, blood fat were the main risk factors for hypertension.Conclusion: The prevalence of hypertension in adult residents in Xingtai is higher, the intervention activity should be carrying out as soon as possible, so as to reduce the harm of hypertension to society and economics.
