Clinical Observation For JIEGUYAO Pills On Prevention Of Aseptic Prosthetic Loosening Of Total Knee Arthroplasty

Objective:To explore the effects of JIEGUYAO pills for periprostetic bone mineral density after total knee arthroplasty.Providing clinical evidence for JIEGUYAO pills on prevention and cure of aseptic prosthetic loosening of total knee arthroplasty.Methods:A total of 80 patients receiving total knee arthroplasty(TKA) were allocated into JIEGUYAO group and control group.Postoperative 2 weeks,JIEGUYAO pills 6 g and Caltrate D 0.6g per day were given individually for the JIEGUYAO group,Control group was disposed Caltrate D 0.6g per day.Consecutively for 3 weeks and with 2 weeks of rest,3 months as a course;altogether covering 3 sustained courses.The test used XR-800 X-ray Bone Densitometer for measuring periprostetic bone mineral density(BMD).Alkaline phosphatase(ALP),tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase(TRAP)were determined before and after the treatment by ELISA.Results:1.There was no statistical difference in BMD values between 2 groups before the treatmen(P>0.05).After treatment,when compared with the control group,periprosthetic BMD value of JIEGUYAO group was significantly higher (P<0.05).2.The ALP contents increased in both of JIEGUYAO group and control group after the treatment, the ALP contents increased more significantly in JIEGUYAO group when compared with the control group(P<0.05).3.The TRAP contents decreased in both of JIEGUYAO group and control group after the treatment;the TRAP contents decreased more significantly in JIEGUYAO group when compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:JIEGUYAO pills can significantly improved bone quality around total knee prosthesis,obviously increase periprostetic bone mineral density,promote bone formation and inhibit bone destruction,promote bone support for prosthesis.And JIEGUYAO pills has easy to take and fewer side effects. So it can as prophylaxis for total knee arthroplasty prosthesis aseptic loosening.
