Objective Discuss the effect of “menstrual cycle-based acupuncture therapy” of patients with diminished ovarian reserve( DOR) and the pregnancy results of IVF-ET.Methods This study was a randomly controlled study conducted on 63 DOR patients treated with IVF/ICSI-ET.The control group is patients(n=33)without the treatment of sequential therapy of acupuncture. The study group(n=30)adopted the treatment for two menstrual cycle, after when they accepted IVF-ET. Analyze and compare the study group’s ovarian reserve function index( basal follicle numbers, the level of endocrine basis, etc),and compare the changes of the two groups. The parameters of ovarian reserve and IVF outcomes, including the the number of oocytes, the number of fertilization, high quality embryo rate, the cycle cancellation rate, implantation rate, the clinical pregnancy rate, etc). Results Compared with the control group, after Sequential Therapy of Acupuncture, the changes of the study group are as follows: the number of antral follicles increased(P<0.05), the number of oocytes increased(P<0.05), the number of fertilization increased(P<0.05); embryo implantation rates and the clinical pregnancy rates are increased significantly(P<0.05); the cycle cancellation rates decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion This therapy can effectively improve the ovarian reserve function of DOR patients, improve their ovarian responses and embryo qualities, increase their ovulation effects, and therefore increase the clinical pregnancy rates of IVF-ET.
