The Clinical Research Of Piingchuan Decoction Combined With ICS-LABA In Treating The Bronchial Asthma In Non-acute Period

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical effect of Pingchuan decoction combined with ICS-LABA(Budesonide and Formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation) in treatment of bronchial asthma in non acute period. MethodAccording to the prospective single blind randomized controlled study method,120 eligible patients were randomly divided into A,B,C three groups. Group A was the treatment group,group B and C was the control group.Group A was treated with Pingchuan decoction Combined with ICS-LABA(Budesonide and Formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation). Group B only use ICS-LABA and group C only use Pingchuan decoction.3 groups were treated for 2 we- eks.Changes of symptoms, lung function were observed by western medicine and TCM Syndromes. ResultsGroup A used Pingchuan decoction Combined with ICS-LABA therapy has the highest efficiency, The efficiency of the A group was 86.7%. group B effecti- veness of ICS-LABA alone is the second one,The efficiency was 73.3%. Group C of only using Pingchuan decoction has the lowest effective, The efficiency was 62.4%.There was significant difference between the three groups(P<0.05).Compared with the control group B and C,patients in the A group after treatment, wheezing, chest tightness, cough, expectoration and wheeze rale sympt- oms improved more obviously.the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment, FEV1 of A group had the most obvious improvement,B group second and C group third.There was significant difference between the three groups(P<0.01).This study shows that, Pingchuan decoction has good effect of eliminating phlegm and relieving asthma, Budesonide and Formoterol has anti-inflammatory and relax bronchial smooth muscle role, two drug com- bination can reduce chronic persistent asthma symptoms, improve lung funct- ion.This shows that Pingchuan decoction combined with ICS-LABA has more advantages than the simple application of Western medicine treatment of bro- nchial asthma. ConclusionResearch shows that, Pingchuan decoction combined with ICS-LABA can alleviate the patients of bronchial asthma clinical symptoms, improve lung function. it is an effective method for the treatment of bronchial asthma in non acute period.
