Research background:Cerebrovascular disease is one of the disease at present by the world wide attention and has high morbidity and recurrence rates, with the literature, the survival of patients with cerebral apoplexy incidence after five years will be one out of every six happening again new stroke, which brings huge burden to patients’ families and the society. Cerebral infarction accounts for about 80% of cerebrovascular diseases, occupies a large proportion of them. Objective:This experiment by measuring the change of serum level of MCP-1 in patients with Progressive cerebral infarction studys its clinical significance, and assesses MCP-1 in value in the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral infarction.Materials and Methods:This experiment chose 116 cases of patients with acute cerebral infarction of the disease for the first time in the Department of Neurology of the laigang hospital from March 2010 to March 2013 according to the principle of random sampling, including progressive cerebral infarction (PCI) 56 cases, non-progressive cerebral infarction (NPCI) 60 cases. They are broken them up into the progress and non-progress of group. All of the patients were hospitalized in the pathogenesis of 24h. After admission they were not given with thrombolytic therapy. These patients received the same basic drugs. And 30 persons who was in our hospital physical examination at the same period were choosen as the control group. They had no cerebrovascular disease.Their previous head MRI were not abnormalities. We tested the serum MCP-1 levels of all of the patients in the hospital after 1 day, 3 day,7 day and 14 day, and compared with the control group. We made use of ELISA method to test MCP-1.Results:1.The serum levels of MCP-1 in the patients with progressive cerebral infarction group significantly increased, on 1 day,3day,7day,14 day, with statistical significance (p< 0.01), compared with other two groups. The serum levels of MCP-1 in the patients with non-progressive cerebral infarction group significantly increased on lday,3day,7day (p<0.01), but there was not evident difference on 14 day, compared with the healthy control group (p>0.05).2. Serum MCP-1 in PCI group showed a trend of the dynamic changes, namely in the dynamic change trend of serum levels of MCP-1 in progressive cerebral infarction group patients was to began to rise on 1day,to peak on 3day, then gradually to decline. Conclusion:Through our experiments, we can know that the serum levels of MCP 1 in the patients with progressive cerebral infarction change with the evolution of cerebral infarction. And the serum level of MCP-1 increases with exacerbation of ischemic brain injury.
