BackgroundEsophageal cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in our country. Currently its clinical efficacy is limited, five-year survival rate of less than 15%. Early esophageal cancer always do not show some obvious symptoms. Most patients do not pay attention and delay treatment. After early esophageal cancer surgery, five-year survival rate up to 90%. With the development of inspection methods, tumor markers become an important supplementary examination. By testing peripheral serum levels of tumor markers, it can provide some help for cancer diagnosis, analyzing clinical significance of tumor, judging the effect of therapy. ObjectiveCompared analysis of three markers expression level and positive rate variation, To investigate the clinic significance of serum levels of Cyfra21-1,SCC and CRP in Esophageal cancer. Methods120 patients with esophageal carcinoma and not treated by surgery and 100 healthy controls by gastroscope inspection and pathological biopsy at the same time were selected as study group and control group in Dongping County People’s Hospital. Cyfra21-1, SCC levels in serum among 120 patients with esophageal carcinoma and 100 healthy controls were measured by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay(ECLIA), Serum level of CRP was tested by turbidimetry. Statistical analysis was performed with τ test and χ 2test. Results(1) The serum levels of Cyfra21-1, SCC and CRP in esophageal cancer group were(6.7±4.6) ng/m L,(1.93±1.04)ng/m L,(56.9±62.4)mg/L, respectively, and in healthy controls were(3.8±1.4) ng/m L,(1.62±0.52)ng/m L,(46.4±20.3)mg/L, respectively. The serum levels of Cyfra21-1, SCC, CRP of esophageal cancer group were significantly higher than those in healthy controls(P﹤0.005).(2)The positive rate and levels of Cyfra21-1, SCC and CRP of esophageal cancer were increasing according to the clinical stage.(3)The sensitivity and specificity of combination of Cyfra21-1, SCC and CRP of the esophageal cancer were obviously higher than that in healthy controls(P﹤0.05). ConclusionThe positive rate among the three tumor markers where as CRP was the highest, SCC and Cyfra21-1 were lower, serum Cyfra21-1 could be the reliable markers for diagnosing esophageal cancer; Combined detection of the serum Cyfra21-1, SCC and CRP levels had an important clinical value for the early diagnosis and identity for detecting the esophageal cancer.
