Objective:To evaluate the effection of Ershen Tongmai granules on acute myocardial infarction patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome by full-volume three-dimensional echocardiography and two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging. Methods:Eighty cases of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome with acute myocardial infarction from January 2012 to December 2014 in Shandong Provincial Hospital were chosen and divided randomly into two groups:the observation group and the control group. Forty patients in the control group were treated with routine medicine and those in the observation group were treated additionally by Ershen Tongmai granules. Full-volume three-dimensional echocardiography and two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging was performed to evaluate the changes of heart structure and functions before and after the treatment in both groups. Comparison of measurement data between groups using t test, in group were compared with paired t test. There were statistically significant differences in P<0.05.Results:1. Compared with the control group, the TCM clinical total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher (P<0.05); the TCM symptom score was significantly lower (P<0.01); the total effective rate of chest tightness, palpitations, fatigue, the sweat out was significantly higher (P<0.05 or P<0.01) and the total effective rate was significantly higher (P<0.05).2. Observating with full-volume three-dimensional echocardiography, we found that the left ventricular end-diastolic volume and left ventricular end-systolic volume decreased after treatment in both groups; and the stroke volume, cardiac output and left ventricular ejection fraction were increased after treatment in both groups. The left ventricular ejection fraction was significantly increased in the observation group, compared with that in the control group (P<0.05).3. Observating with two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging, we found that the indexes of longitudinal strain, radial strain and circumferential strain were all increased one week after treatment in both groups, but the increase had no significantly difference. One month after the treatment, each index continued to rise, and the indexes of radial strain and circumferential strain was significantly increased in the observation group, compared with that in the control group (P<0.05). Three months after the treatment, all indexes were significantly increased in the observation group, compared with that in the control group. Conclusion:Ershen Tongmai granules can improve the cardiac functions of acute myocardial infarction patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. Full-volume three-dimensional echocardiography and two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging can be used as an important indicator to evaluate the clinical treatment.
