| BackgroundParkinson disease (PD) is a kind of chronic progressive neurological degenerative disease which usually occurs in the elderly. Its clinical manifestations include motor symptoms and non-motor symptoms. Reviewing the road of Chinese and western medicine treatment for Parkinson disease, we have made a great progress in diagnosis and treatment of motor symptoms. But on the non-motor symptoms part we have made little progress since it has not been concerned for a long time. We found that the non-motor symptoms which are in response to dopamine drugs badly have become the important factors that influence to the life quality of Parkinson disease patients, such as constipation, orthostatic hypotension, pain, cognitive, sleep disorders and so on. The pain is one of non-motor symptoms that usually occur. It can form a vicious circle with motor or other non-motor symptoms, eventually leading to loss of labor ability, thereby increasing the spirit and the economic burden of family. Therefore actively research and development of a new treatment which has special curative effect for Parkinson disease of pain has become one of the highlights on the current work of diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson disease. A large number of clinical and experimental research shows that the Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang has a better analgesic action, and it can effectively improve the quality of patients’ life. But now there is no definite objective basis for using the method to treat the Parkinson disease patients with pain. Clinical studies can be better for observation in Parkinson disease patients with pain.ObjectiveBy using the randomized controlled trial, observing the clinical curative effect of applying the therapy of the Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang to treating Parkinson disease patients with pain, so as to understand its curative effect for the movement function and daily life ability and life quality of Parkinson disease patients, aiming to search an effective treatment with no obvious adverse reaction for the Parkinson disease patients with pain, and provide objective basis for its promotion.Methods60 Parkinson disease patients with pain met the inclusion standard were chosen and allocated into 2 groups by 1:1 proportion according to the simple random method:treatment group and control group. On the basis of conventional drug treatment, the treatment group was applied the therapy of the Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang to treating Parkinson disease patients with pain and compared it with the control group of using Nimesulide dispersible tablet. They were all treated for a course of two weeks. The pain questionnaire summary table, UPDRS-Ⅱ, UPDRS-Ⅲand PDQ-39 scale scores of all patients should be observed and recorded before and after the treatment. The adverse reaction occurred during using the drug should be recorded at any time. At last analysing observed data by statistical methods, so as to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety.Results1. Pain curative effect assessment:On the second weekend, each pain score of treatment group was significantly decreased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Comparing it with the Nimesulide dispersible tablet group, analgesic efficacy differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). It showed that the Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang has exact analgesic effect, and its curative effect is superior to the Nimesulide dispersible tablet.2. Parkinson disease assessment:On the second weekend, the movement function and daily life ability score of treatment group was significantly decreased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compar-ing it with the control group, it was lower. The difference of daily activities score was statistically significant (P<0.05), and the one of movement function has no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). It showed that the Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang can somewhat improve the daily activity ability and the movement function of Parkinson disease patients, and its curative effect is better than the control group.3. Quality of life assessment:On the second weekend, the quality life score of treatment group was significantly decreased, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), but compared with control group, the difference of quality life score has no statistical significance (P>0.05). It showed that the Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang can obviously improve the quality of life of the Parkinson disease patients, but compared with the control group, it has no obvious advantage.ConclusionThe Modified neck Guizhi Jia-Gegentang can treat Parkinson’s disease patients with pain, and its analgesic effect is exact. Compared with the control group, it has significant difference. To some extent, it can alleviate motor symptoms of Parkinson disease patients, and improve their ability of daily activities and quality of life, and has no obvious adverse reactions. Therefore, it is deserved to be promoted among the Parkinson disease patients with pain. |
