The Clinical Study Of Treating The Knee Of Osteoarthritis With The Manual Therapy Of Lumber And Knee

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy and safety of the Knee Osteoarthritis with the manual therapy of lumber and knee.MethodsAccording to the matched criteria, divide 78 patients by random Numbers table generated by PEMS3.1 version statistical package into treatment group and control group. The treatment group were treated with the manual therapy of lumber and knee. Control group were treated with local manual therapy of the knee only. The treatment frequency for both group is, for the 2 times every week,continue 4 weeks.The evaluating items included:WOMAC, VASResultsThere is a different degrees of improvement in pain, joint stiffness,, daily activities and VAS. After the second treatment, there is a significant difference in the both groups in the fileds of WOMAC and VAS. In the field of WOMAC and VAS, there is a significant improvement in the both of groups after the second treatment between the fist treatment. There is a significant improvement between the treatment group and control group after the second treatment. Every patient After 4 weeks of the end of the treatment, there was a followup visit, two groups of patients with various observation indexes have small amplitude increases, compared with before the first treatment, difference was statistically significant, the comparison between groups, the difference was statistically significant.ConclusionThe manual therapy of lumber and knee can release pain, improve joint stiffness and daily activity to a certain extent for the patients with the knee osteoarthritis, is a effective and safe treatment.
