Objective:To study the chemical constituents and biological activity in the 95% aqueous EtOH extraction of Dendrobium gratiosissimum Rchb.f.; To study the chemical constituents in the ethyl acetate extraction of Antidesma bunius(L.) Spreng.. Methods: The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by various column chromatographies. The structures of isolates were identified by combination of spectroscopic methods(MS, 1H, 13 C NMR) and comparisons with the literature data. Results: Chemical investigation of the stems of D. gratiosissimum led to the isolation of 22 compounds, including 4′-hydroxy-3,3′,5-trimethoxybibenzyl(1), 3′-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxybibenxyl(2), 5,4′-dihydroxy-3,3′-dimethoxybibenxyl)(3), 5, 3′-dihydroxy-3-methoxybibenxyl(4), 5′-hydroxy-3,4,3′-trimethoxybibenxyl(5), Denbinobin(6), 5,6-dihydroxy-2,4-dimethoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanth(7), coniferyl aldehyde(8), naringenin(9), dihydroconiferyl dihydro-p-coumarate(10), N-trans-cinnamoyltyramine(11), n-butyl-α-D-fructofuranoside(12), adenosine(13),(+)-syringaresinol-O-β-Dglucopyranoside(14), niacinamide(15), shikimic acid(16), shikimic acid n-butyl ester(17), 6-C-α-L-Rhamnopyranosylapigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(18), 1,2,3-propanetriol(19), Stigmast-22-ene-3β,5α,6β-triol(20), β-Sitosterol(21), daucosterol(22). Chemical investigation of the A. bunius led to the isolation of 20 compounds, including Sanjonine A(1), sanjoinenine(2), 3-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxyphenethyl)-3-isopropylpyrrolidine-2,5-dione( 3), 3,3′,4′-tri-O-methylellagic acid(4), 5-methoxybrevifolin(5), 4, 5-didehydro-chebulic acid triethyleste(6), 6,7-Dihydroxycoumarin(7),(+)-pinoresinol(8), Vanillic acid(9), 5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-furfural(10),(3S,5R,6S,9R)-Megastigman-3,9-diol(11),(3S,5R,6S,7E,9R)-3,6-Dihydroxy-5,6-di-hydro-β-ionol(12), Sarmentol F(13), Wilsonol(14), Pubinernoid A(15), α-boswellic acid(16), 2α,3β,23-trihydroxy olean-12-en-28-oic acid(17), Hentriacontane(18), β-Sitosterol(19), daucosterol(20). Conclusion:This is the first time to report compounds 1 、 2 、 5-20 from D. gratiosissimum, and on the isolation of compounds 2、7、13、15、17、18、19、20 from the genus Dendrobium. This is the first time to report all compounds 1-20 from A. bunius. The compounds 3、5 are new compounds from A. bunius.
