| Obejects To observe the level of serum insulin-like growth factor- I in the middled-aged men, and the trend of IGF-i level along with the age growth, to discuss the changes on the level of serum IGF- I in cardiovascular risk factors, to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of work.Methords 1. To selected randomly from January 2013 to October 2014 in the ward cadres of Anhui Provincial Hospital to participate in elderly medical check-up and 18 ~ 79-years old male, 831 cases in hospital, in the end, there are 338 subjects who accord with standard of subjects.According to the WHO standards for youth aged 18 ~ 40, 98, 40 ~ 60 years for the middle-aged, 116 people, more than 60 years of age for the elderly group of 124 people, the comparison between the three groups of serum IGF-i level change tendency and the comparison between the three groups of body mass index(BMI), fasting plasma glucose(FPG), total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides(TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c), high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL- c). 2. According to the thickness of IMT situation of color ultrasound detection, adopting the classification criteria of the IM T < 1 mm subjects as no carotid atherosclerosis(the control group, n = 136); the IMT > 1 mm subjects as carotid atherosclerosis(thickening group, n = 202), a comparison between the two groups of BMI, FPG, TC, TG, LDL-c, HDL- c, relationship between carotid intima thickness(IMT). 3.The determination of serum IGF- I: all the men were told that the day before blood fasting 12 hours, the next day in the morning on an empty stomach recumbent position4 ml of blood, blood of extracting cubits in half an hour on the anticoagulation after 1 h of the test tube, cryogenic centrifugal 15 min, collect serum- 80 cryopreserved under ℃test. 4.Carotid artery intima determination: using color doppler ultrasound instrument, the probe is 7.5 MHz, take the hypothesis, head to the side of the examination, fully exposed to the neck.Measurement of common carotid artery(1 cm) of the carotid artery, the ball close heart of carotid intima-media thickness(IMT).On both sides of each side measuring three times, average, resolution of 0.1 mm.Results 1. Comparison between three groups’ level of serum IGF- I : with the change of the age and the level of serum IGF- I in change, age two comparison between different age groups, statistical differences were statistically significant(P < 0.01).Serum levels of IGF-i differences between different age groups was statistically significant(P < 0.01). 2. Comparison of cardiovascular risk factors between different age groups: comparison between the three groups of cardiovascular factors, BMI, SBP, DBP, FPG, TG, LDL-cand HDL-c have obvious difference(P < 0.01), while TC has no obvious difference between three groups(P > 0.05). 3. The thickening of the carotid artery group and normal control group, serum IGF-i comparison: thickening of the carotid artery group and normal control group between age, BMI, FBG, TG, LD-c, HDL-c, IMT, IGF-i cardioascular risk factors such as difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05), while there was no statistically significant difference between two groups of TC(P > 0.05). 4. Indices such as serum IGF-I and IMT of correlation analysis, Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum IGF-I and negatively correlated with IMT, age, and TC were positively correlated.Step into a IMT as dependent variable, age, BM I, TG, TC, FBG, LDL-c, HDL-c, IGF-i as the independent variable multiple stepwise regression analysis, the results showed that age, BM, TG and IGF I-i are independent risk factors of IMT(r2 were 0.347, 0.226, 0.235, 0.347, P < 0. 05).Conclusions The serum levels of IGF-I were gradually decrease with age increasing, cardiovascular risk factors: BMI, blood pressure, FBG, TG, LDL-c increases, IMT thickening, HDL-creduction. |
