Correlation Analysis Between Glucosamine Combined With Duhuo Jisheng Decoction In The Treatment Of Early Osteoarthritis Of The Knee And The Levels Of Serum BALP, BGP Concentration

Objective: Study of oral glucosamine combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in the treatment of early osteoarthritis of the knee, influence on the concentration of BALP and BGP in serum. Methods: Through the research of randomized controlled trials. The specimens were divided into three groups each group of 15 specimens. The standard of 15 cases of patients do not take any measures of treatment, only in pain without regular use of pain medications. 15 cases of patients in the control group according to the dose of oral glucosamine treatment of osteoarthritis, 750 mg B.i.d. The experimental group of 15 patients except oral glucosamine 750 mg B.i.d, combined with traditional Chinese medicine "Duhuo Jisheng Decoction" orally 100 ml B.i.d. At baseline and after two weeks of therapy in patients with blood samples were collected at a time, markers that formed by ELISA method to detect two bone: the serum osteocalcin(BGP) and serum bone alkaline phosphatase(BALP) before treatment and two weeks after treatment the serum concentration. At the same time, the patients in the three groups before and two weeks after the treatment respectively for a WOMAC questionnaire VAS score. Analysis of the data before and after the treatment, the conclusion.. Results: The formation of the three groups of bone markers and WOMAC score difference before treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05). After two weeks of treatment, two markers of bone formation and WOMAC score changes. The concentration of serum BALP: before treatment, the average concentration of 20.87±7.70mmol/l, 22.43±7.14 mmol/l after treatment. There was no significant difference between the standard group and the control group(P>0.05); there was statistically difference between the control group and the experimental group(P<0.05); there was statistically significant difference between the standard group and the experimental group(P<0.05). The concentration of serum BGP: before treatment, the average concentration of: 5.26±1.87 ng/ml, the average concentration after treatment: 5.73±1.76 ng/ml. There was no significant difference between the standard group and the control group(P>0.05); there were statistically significant differences in the standard group and the experimental group(P<0.05); there was statistically significant difference between the control group and experimental group(P<0.05). WOMAC score: the average score of before treatment, after treatment: 106.11±37.59, 100.73±33.41 average score. There was no significant difference between the standard group and the control group(P>0.05); there were statistically significant differences in the standard group and the experimental group(P<0.05); there was statistically significant difference between the control group and experimental group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Oral glucosamine combined with Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in the treatment of early osteoarthritis of the knee for 2 weeks to promote bone formation, promote to alleviate the symptoms of knee joint.
