Significance Of PET-CTã€MRI And VEEG In The Diagnosis Of The Intractable Epilepsy And Presurgical Localization Of Epileptogenic Zones | | Posted on:2015-09-26 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:L B Xia | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2284330452993832 | Subject:Surgery | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective: To explore the diagnostic value of PET-CT〠MRI〠VEEG andcombination of those tests in the presurgical evaluation of intractable epilepsy.Method: To collecte retrospectively the clinical data of patients withintractable epilepsy in our department from January2010to December2013, suchas clinical symptoms and the result of VEEG〠MRI and PET-CT. After operationpatients were followed up from0.5to2years. According the result of ECoG andEngel grade, evaluate and analysis the presurgical evaluation in localization ofepileptogenic zones among PET-CT〠MRI and VEEG.Results: All19patients underwent MRI and VEEG,6patients underwentPET-CT due to different localization result of VEEG〠MRI and clinical symptomsor the normal MRI. All the patients underwent operations under the guidance ofECoG. The epileptogenic zones were located accurately by combination of VEEGã€MRI and clinical symptoms with13patients, by combination of PET-CT〠VEEGand clinical symptoms with4patients, and by combination of PET-CT〠MRI andclinical symptoms with2patients. The Epileptic Engle grade: gradeâ… in12cases,gradeâ…¡ in5cases and grade â…¢ in2cases.Conclusion: VEEG and MRI could be used as the basic presurgicalevaluation test of intractable epilepsy. The value of PET-CT is significant inlocalization of epileptogenic zones when VEEG and MRI have the differentlocalization result. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Intractable epilepsy, PET-CT, MRI, VEEG, localizations ofepileptogenic zones | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
