As the proportion of old people rises, the importance of health care ofthe elderly has become increasingly prominent. A common problem is thatthe old are easy to fall and fall can cause serious consequences. As animportant function of the human body, balance function plays an importantrole in predicting falls and disease diagnosis. Balance function reflectsability of the body to maintain balance in a variety of positions and abilityto adapt to the environment. Currently, research on human balancefunction has become a hot spot and has a wide range of applications in thesports, aerospace, medical and other fields.According to the difference between the need of the evaluation ofbalance function and the need of rehabilitation training, we design tworelatively independent systems, one for detection and evaluation and onefor rehabilitation training. Two parts complement each other.Detection and evaluation system requires accurate and effectivemeasure for hospitals, including trajectory of the center of gravity andplantar pressure distribution. FPGA collects data via high-precision sensorsand transmits to a computer for real-time processing and evaluationindicators of balance function. Simultaneously the database manages thepatient information, saves the test results and prints the test reports.Detection and evaluation system also has a rehabilitation training game. It’s inconvenient that the patients go to the hospital for rehabilitationevery time. Rehabilitation training system is required easy to carry, for areasonable price and fit for families. We use Microsoft Kinect to collectbody joint positions and use unity3D and C#to develop three-dimensionalrehabilitation training game. With virtual reality technology to design appropriate virtual environment, repetitive training which is boringbecomes full of fun. Patients will complete the rehabilitation work in arelaxed and pleasant mood, which will greatly shorten the recovery timeand improve the quality of rehabilitation.Working closely with the detection and evaluation systems andrehabilitation training system can help predict the risk of older people, diagnose disease, develop rehabilitation measures and assess theeffectiveness of rehabilitation.
