Clinical Literature Study On COPD With Acupuncture And Moxibustion

ObjectiveCollect the articles of COPD with treatment which is acupuncture and moxibustion,and published in the last30years(1984-2013). throug the analysis of Metaanalysis,metrology analysis, and acupoints selection of all articles, evaluate theclinical efficacy between acupuncture and modern medical therapy or physicaltraining to COPD patients, to obtain the better therapeutic schedule.MethodsUsing VIP, CNKI, CBM data, researching articles in the last30years (1984-2013),with acupuncture treat COPD, Choosing all papers according to inclusion andexclusion criteria, Firstly, assess the quality of all articles under the jaded scale, andthen,with the software of Review Manager5.2to do the Meta analysis, Analyze thetime of posted, research sites, intervention way and so on.. At the last, analyze aboutthe acupoints selection rules.ResultsThere are80articles included, the number of posted papers was increased in the last3years. The place of largest number of published articles is Guangdong and Shanghai.The main treatment method used is Point application and acupuncture. The quality of80articles were evaluated according to Jadad scale, only15papers are high quality,the rest of are low quality articles. Experimental group using point application,acupuncture, point injection, moxibustion,thermal moxibustion and combinationtherapies. Control group used usually western medicine or rehabilitation. And5papers used rehabilitation as control group,1paper used traditional Chinese medicineas control group, the rest of articles used western medicine as control group.48articlesevaluate lung function (FEV1, FEV1%, FEV1/FVC, FVC),46articles evaluate theefficency of treatment. There is only6article using CAT scale,5papers using MRCscale. At the first, do test of heterogeneity to80articles, after the statistics, efficiency of all experimental groups higher than control groups. According to the rules ofacupoints，Feishu is high usage in bladder meridian of Foot Taiyang, Zusanli ishigh usage in Stomach meridian of Foot Yangming, and then is Danzhong andDingchuan point.ConclusionThe number of articles about COPD with acupuncture treatment is increased greatlyin this30years, especially the last3years, so the effection of acupuncture recognizedlargely by researchers. The main point of this paper is efficiency of experimentalgroup with Acupuncture higher than the other control group, and Acucombinationtherapy is better than single acumethod. Refers to low quality of articles，to someextend, impact accuracy of experiments. From choosing of ways of acupoints andmeridians, differentiation acupoints is significant to treat COPD.
