Abstract/Summary:
The present age is witnessing a rapid development of radiotherapy, which isconsidered one of the three major cancer therapies, as the tumor incidence is rising. As aconsequence, medical electronic linear accelerator, as the principal radiotherapeutic facility,has been upgraded. Various techniques of new tumor radiotherapy put forward higherrequirements on medical electronic linear accelerator. Accelerator plays a key role ofactuator in tumor radiotherapy. How to guarantee the accurate treatment execution and howto ensure the accuracy of cancer position, absorbed dose and dose distribution in the bodybecome key problems. These have a series of strict requirements to medical electroniclinear accelerator with its function, accuracy, control, dose detection and so on. Theimbalance between domestic growths of doctors and patients brings a heavier burden toradiotherapy facility, which requires the accelerator to have good stability and to maintainhigh operation rate. And therefore it’s necessary to have quality assurance (QA) and qualitycontrol (QC) measures, and professional execution as well, which ensures good workingconditions of the accelerator, provides high quality medical services, and produceseconomic and social benefits for the hospital.The high-tech and high value medical electronic linear accelerator is large medicalequipment featuring complex structure, high precision, large system, expensive equipment,etc. So the correct maintenance, management and use are vital to the efficient operation ofthe accelerator. Medical electronic linear accelerator involves professional knowledge in awide range. And this research focuses on the introduction of its structure, working principle,acceptance check, regular QA and QC, and daily maintenance; and the research has as itsmain point the acceptance check items and testing methods, common technical problemsand resolutions of accelerator; and the research analyzes typical technical failures of themedical electronic linear accelerators and sums up the maintenance experience. Based onthe current use of medical accelerator nationwide, the paper researches the current andfuture development of medical electronic linear accelerator, and expounds the usingstandards and the uniform implementation and improvement of routine QA and QC.
