With the rapid advances in medical technology,Spinal disease patients demand forcomfort of prosthesis is also increasing.Trunk orthosis is a kind of instrument that preventsand rectifies malformation in human bodies,and cures diseases in bone joints,muscles andnerves.With the rapid development of CAD/CAM technologies,great changes have beentaken place in trunk orthosis making industry.It has greatly improved production qualityand efficiency.Based on the research and development of trunk orthosis computer-aided design andmanufacturing system,this paper studies on model data processing,model building,structureof trunk orthosis CAM system’s hardware,G code interpreter,numerical control softwareand other components.This paper first summarizes trunk orthosis,learns the development situation in the fieldof orthoses at home and abroad.Secondly, to introduce data files formation of trunk orthosisthrough the description of the composition principle,modeling and model modification oftrunk orthosis CAD system.Modular method is adopted during the softwaredevelopment.GRETA regular expression library used for matching and analysis tools, trunkorthosis CAM system’s G-code interpreter has been developed.Regular expressions andcompiler theory is introduced.The experiment results validated that the control strategy isfeasible.VC++programming,multi-thread technology,free curve modelling are all very popularin the application study field.So the machining system has good performance, and lays agood foundation for the further development of this system.
