Objective To investigate the treatment and prognosis in patientswith pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. Methods A retrospective analysis of a collected database was performed. The clinical, demographic and laboratory data of32consecutive cases ofNET patients admitted to Affiliated Union Hospital of Fujian MedicalUniversity from January2004to December2013were reviewed for thisstudy.2010WHO classification of tumors of the digestive system basedon its classification was used to evaluate disease prognosis of NET.Thenthe relationship between grading and prognosis was analyzed. Andpathological grading prognostic was valued in patients with NET andrelated literatures were discussed. Results The patients, including12males and20females, had an agerang of27~71years. There are17cases of tumors located in the head,15cases in body and tail. According to2010WHO classification of tumorsof the digestive system based on classification, G1grade14cases, G2grade14cases, G3grade4cases. All of them received surgicaltreatment.Patients with pancreatic resection (including splenectomy)20cases, pancreaticoduodenectomy six cases, five cases of local tumorresection, liver biopsy in1case. All cases were confirmed to have Neuroendocrine casinomas by post-operative palthologicalexamination. They had an diameter range of1.6~3.5cm,invasive growthoccurred in16cases, Lymph node metastasis occurred in3cases andliver metastasis in2cases. Immunohistochemical studies of these patientsshowed high CgA、Syn. There was no lost in this study, the follow-upamong4~108months, one of the32patients died because of multiplemetastasis, other patients were improved. Conclusion Prognosis of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors relied onpalthological examination, surgical combined therapy can help improvethe prognosis. The prognosis was closely related to WHO grading, therewas no significant difference between G1and G2,but obvious comparedwith G3.
