Clinical Study On Quality Of Life And Related Factors In Adult Patients With Epilepsy

[Objective] To study the quality of Life and Related Factors in adult patients with epilepsy, we provide theoretic evidences to comprehendsively improve living condition of epileptics.[Method] The134clinical definite cases who were epileptics and102cases normal control group were collected. The the quality of life in epilepsyinventory-31(QOLIE-31), side effect profile, self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and The Improved the quality of sex life history questionnaire were used to assessment of adult epileptic patients and healthy group. The Contains of the survey includes general information and scale survey projects. SPSS17.0software package for statistical analysis was used to analyze the quality of life in adult patients with epilepsy and univariate and multivariate influencing factors were analy and to determine the impact factors of patients’quality of life in all its aspects.[Results] According to the research, the seizure types of the male patients are mostly general tonic clonic seizure and complex partial seizure. Seizure frequency of male patients is mostly>1week and<1month was high, and seizure duration of female patients is mostly>1minute and<2 minutes, the score of the adult epileptic quality of life is lower than the normality, There was a significant difference (P<0.05). The civil state was not the affected factors of the adult epileptic quality of life. The seizure frequency and type of set age, pharmic sorts, the vocation and the level of patient and family education are the mainly affected factors of the adult epileptic quality of life. Among these, the QOL score, the degree of living satisfaction, the cognitive function and the social role are negative correlation with the seizure frequency; the emotional health, energy/fatigue, the cognitive function and the QOL score are active correlation; what’s more,the scores in the misgivings of paroxysm, the emotional health, the cognitive function. The scored of life satisfaction and social function in educated in total were higher than that in patients with relatively less educated.[Conclusion]1. Epileptic living condition are dramatic decline compare to the normality.2. The gender and civil state are not the affected factors of the adult epileptic living condition. The depression, anxiety, course, seizure frequency, educational qualification, age of onset, family education is most major influencing factors of quality of life in adult patients with epilepsy and predictors. The attack types, causes, economic status and quality of life in adult patients with epilepsy have some effect, but is not a major factor.
