Objective:Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) method was used to study of papillary thyroid carcinoma, nodular goiter and health’s blood plasma metabolomics changes, their significance and connections. Methods:Healthy people (n=29), patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (n=31) and patients with nodular goiter’s (n=25) blood plasma were collected and were analyzed by the method of’H-NMR. Different metabolites of three sets of plasma were obtained by using orthogonal projections to latent structures discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA), and the related changes in biochemical processes were investigated. Results:There were significant differences between the three groups in plasma metabolites.1)1H-NMR analysis of patients with thyroid carcinoma and healthy human plasma samples showed, which were the concentration level of VLDL, isoleucine, leucine, valine, LDL, lactic acid, alanine, glycoproteins, glutamine, carnitine, a-ketoglutaric acid, creatine, glycine, unsaturated lipids, tyrosine, methyl histidine and phenylalanine were reduced, while pyruvic acid, citric acid, creatinine, choline, shark inositol,β-glucose, inositol, a-glucose and formic acid level were increased in plasma of patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma, compared with the healthy group there were significant differences (P<0.05);2)1H-NMR analysis of plasma samples of patients with nodular goiter and healthy human shows that compared with the healthy group, which were the concentration level of leucine, glycoproteins, pyruvate, carnitine,β-glucose, scyllo-inositol, a-glucose and phenylalanine were decreased, while lactic acid, citric acid, unsaturated lipids and tyrosine methyl histidine were increased in plasma of patients with nodular goiter, compared with healthy group there were significant differences (P<0.05);3)1H-NMR analysis of plasma samples of patients with thyroid carcinoma and nodular goiter showed that compared with the healthy group, compared with nodular goiter which were the concentration level of isoleucine, leucine, valine, lactic acid, alanine, glycoproteins, glutamine, pyruvate, carnitine, creatine, taurine, scyllo-inositol,β-glucose, glycine, a-glucose, tyrosine, A base histidine, phenylalanine, and formic acid were decreased, while citric acid, creatinine, choline and inositol were increased, compared with patients with nodular goiter group, there were significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on differences in plasma metabolites, it could be distinguish differences in plasma metabolites of healthy people and patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma and patients with nodular goiter. Metabolomics technology method based Hl-NMR provide a reliable metabolism basis for diagnosis of patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma and nodular goiter.
