Progress In Current Application Of Advanced MRI Techniques Of The Fetal Brain

With magnetic resonance imaging technology development, the fetalmagnetic resonance imaging (FMRI) is becoming a powerful imaging tool toevaluate the development of fetal brain, relevant congenital or acquireddiseases. Especially, FMRI well avoid the influence of fetal skull andmaternal pelvis. The development of fetal brain is a dynamic andcomplicated process, the structure of fetal brain, neurocyte migration andfolding can be precisely present by FMRI. Knowledge of the new techniquesin FMRI can efficiently complete assessment of the fetal brain developmentand early anomalies. In this review we will profile the technique of FMRI,summarize the feature of normal fetal brain development and fetal brainanomalies on MRI.
