BackgroundIn recent years, with the in-depth study of the pathogenesis of lungcancer, as well as the development of biology and genetic testingtechnology, the Molecular targeted therapy has gradually become part ofthe clinical treatment of lung cancer. Recently studies have found that theexpression of CTGF in lung cancers tissues is lower than that in normallung tissues. CTGF is closely related to the occurrence and development oflung cancer, and it may well become as a new target for diagnosis andtreatment of lung cancer,At present,Studies of expression and significanceof CTGF in lung cancer have reported in the literature both in domestic andforeign, but the results are not the same,This article uses Meta-analysismethods to systematic evaluation the correlation between CTGF and theoccurrence and development of lung cancer, quantitative analysis theresults of previous studies on the development of lung cancer and CTGFexpression and investigate the clinical significance of CTGF expressionand lung cancer.ObjectiveTo collect domestic and foreign literature of the expression of CTGFin lung cancer and paraneoplastic normal tissue, and through the Meta analysis compares the expression of CTGF in lung cancer andparaneoplastic normal tissue and look for the correlation between CTGFexpression and pathological classification, degree of differentiation, clinicalstage, lymph node transfer, gender of lung cancer. Aims to systematicevaluate the relationship between CTGF and the biological behaviour ofoccurrence and development of lung cancer, and look forward to provide anew method for the early diagnosis of lung cancer, a biological approachfor the treatment of lung cancer.MethodsComprehensive search the original documents, conference treatisesand graduate thesis of CTGF associated with lung cancer, Datebasesincluding PubMed, EMbase, CBM, CNKI full-text database, Roreignmedical information resource retrieval platform, WanFang DATA, VIP,Google Scholar. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, filterliterature and extract the required data. All statistical analysis wasperformed using the Revman5.0software.ResultsEventually6case-control studies were enrolled, Meta-analysis showsthat: the expression of CTGF in lung cancer is significantly lower thanparaneoplastic normal tissue, and the strength of expression has evidentcorrelation with cell differentiation, clinical stage, whether accompaniedwith lymph node transfer of lung cancer. but no statistically significantwith pathological classification and gender.ConclusionsExpression of CTGF in lung cancer is significantly lower thanparaneoplastic normal tissue, and the strength of expression has evident correlation with cell differentiation, clinical stage, whether accompaniedwith lymph node transfer of lung cancer. It suggested that the lowerpositive expression of CTGF in lung, the higher risk of lung cancer occur, the more aggressive, and the worse prognosis of the tumor. Thus, detectionof CTGF may become a new method for early diagnosis of lung cancer, anew means to judge the lung cancer biology behavior, CTGF may be usedin genetic therapy of lung cancer as a new target in the future.
