Objective: The aim o f the research was to investigate the risk factors, clinical features and misdiagnosis of endometrial carcinoma inpremenopausal women. Methods: This is a retrospective study, conducted from October2011-2013, analyzed from the data of premenopausal women group (n=123)cases and postmenopausal women group (n=155) cases during the sameperiod. Comparative study done in two groups with their clinical features, risk factors, diagnosis and misdiagnosis of the pre and postmenopausalwomenResults: We found hypertension, diabetes, and history of malignancyplays major important role in the incidence of endometrial carcinoma inpostmenopausal patients, whereas other factors such as PCOS, estrogenreplacement therapy, family history of cancer, and infertility are morelikely with premenopausal patients. The clinical symptoms ofpostmenopausal patients are typical and these patients showed irregularvaginal bleeding and irregular vaginal discharge, so the misdiagnosis ratebefore operation is only2.58%, while premenopausal patients found with irregular vaginal bleeding, increased menstrual flow, and (or) prolongedmenstrual period, these symptoms are atypical and its misdiagnosis rate ashigh as13.82%.Conclusion: The risk factors of premenopausal women andpostmenopausal women with endometrial cancer have different clinicalpresentation. The clinical symptoms of premenopausal women withendometrial cancer are more complex and misdiagnosis rate preoperativelyis higher than postmenopausal women. Therefore we must pay moreattention to the premenopausal women’s clinical presentation that maydevelop into endometrial cancer in order to diagnose accurately, treat early, and improve the outcomes of these women.
