A Clinical Effect Analysis Of CO₂Laser Combined With Pingyangmycin On Laryngeal Contact Granuloma

Objective To observe the clinical effect of laryngeal contactgranuloma treated with CO2laser combined with pingyangmycin.Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data from18cases oflaryngeal contact granuloma diagnosed from Jan.2011to Dec.2012in ourhospital. All the18patients had22times treatment history.Among them,9cases were treated by CO2laser operation combined with pingyangmycin,13cases received by CO2laser operation. The18patients were divided into2groups: the CO2laser combined with pingyangmycin therapy group（group1）and the CO2laser operation group（group2）. All patients werefollowed up over6months after operation.Results The one operation cure rate of group1was100%. The oneoperation cure rate of group2was53.8%(7cases were cured and6casesrelapsed).Comparison between the two kinds of treatment methods thatCO2laser combined with pingyangmycin one treatment recurrence rate islower than the CO2laser operation(P<0.05).Conclusion Laryngeal contact granuloma has a strong tendency to recur,the reason of occurrence and recurrence may be a large number offiber cells and vascular proliferation.For recurrent patients,CO2lasercombined with pingyangmycin leads to vascular occlusion,granuloma cannot grow,the method can significantly ruduce the recurrence rate.
