ObjectIn our study,we retrospectively analyzed all the pathologically confirmed patients in XiangYa Hospital Central South University from January2001to December2013,especially the clinicopathological features and the main factors for prognosis of pNEN. We aim to increase awareness of pNEN, provide some reference for the diagnosis and treatment pNEN.MethodWe have collected43cases of pNEN with complete clinical data and successful follow-up in XiangYa Hospital from January2001to December2013.All these patients were analyzed retrospectively. We finish the statistical analysis which completed by software SPSS22.0.Result1. In this study, there are a total of17cases of male patients and26female patients, male:female ratio is1:1.529. Age range is16-71years,with a mean age of47±13and a median age of45years old.2. There are no paticular manifestations for this disease. Our hospital mainly have insulinoma among all the categories.3. Imaging examinations includeultrasonography, CT, MRI (MRCP), ERCP. MRI and CT-positive rate was significantly higher than the B-ultrasound.4. There are no significant difference between CgA and Synpositive rate. Lymph node metastases appeared in6patients. There are21iver metastases, both of which are synchronous metastasis. pNENare mainly onTNM stage I.5. A total of42underwent surgical treatment,3patients underwent comprehensive treatment and two patients received chemotherapy.6. We have followed up43patients.By April15th2014,6died while37survived.There is no evidence of distant metastasis.7. Tumor size, tumor classification, TNM stage, whether it is functioning tumors and lymph node metastasis status are an important factors for pNEN survival.Conclusion1. B-ultrasound and CT are the most commonly used imaging methods for the diagnosis of pNEN.MRI and CT-positive rate was significantly higher than the B-ultrasound.2. The primary ways of managing pNEN patients in our hospital is surgery. It is necessary to do regional lymph node dissection when tumor is larger than2cm in diameter or when it is invasive limited pNEN. Most cases can obtain long survival through a comprehensive treatment and prognosis is good. 3. Tumor size, tumor classification, TNM stage, whether it is functioning tumors and lymph node metastasis status indicate pNEN patients with poor prognosis.
