Clinical Analysis Of Subclavian Steel Syndrome

Objective:The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical characteristics of the subclavian steel、possible risk factors、and the earlier diagnosis. Methods: The clinical data of41cases diagonised subclavian steel syndrome by The Frist A ffiliated hospital of Xin Jiang Medical University during April2010to July2013were analyzed retrospectively and correlated literatures reviewed. Result:The signifi cant risk factors between the two groups were:total cholesterol,triglyceride,low densi ty lipoprotein cholesterol,smoking history,essential hypertension,type2diabetes melli tus,stroke history were remarkably different (p<0.05).Applying Logistic regression a nalysis,essential hypertension (OR=5.795),diabetes mellitus (OR=4.528),stroke history (OR=2.129),smoking history (OR=2.135) are independent risk factors for the subcl avian steel syndrome.Subclavian steel syndrome occurred in occlusion of subclavian or innominate artery,and left side more than right,with a ratio of three to one.Th e causes of disease was atherosclerosis (38Cases),artery inflammation (3Cases).70.73%patients had multiple vessel disease,and there was no significant difference bet ween males and females..of9patients were performed for simple posterior circulati on ischemia symptoms,13with simple upper limb ischemia symptoms,11with post erior circulation and upper limb ischemia symptoms,8with asymptomatic disease which were detected by TCD. Conclusion:The factors such as essential hypertensio n,diabetes mellitus,stroke history,smoking history are independent risk factors for the subclavian steel syndrome.as well as,there was no significant difference between m ales and females.And as a result,atherosclerosis may be the vital pathogenic factor of subclavian steel syndrome.Subclavian steel syndrome existed the left mostly with multiple vessel disease.Subclavian steel syndrome is not infrequent.because some a symptomatic patients misdiagnosed or missed.The syndromes of which related to f ormation of collateral circulation.TCD is the first choice to detect Subclavian steel syndrome in the early stage,however,DSA is the golden standard to diagnose.
