Objective:To analyze the expression and prognosis of β-catenin and cyclinD1in different ethnic groups in breast cancer. Method:To detect β-catenin, cyclinD1expression in133cases of Han breast cancer and93cases of Uygur breast cancer by immunohistochemistry method, and using Kaplan-Merier survival analysis to compare the survival difference between different ethnic groups. Results:The expression rate of β-catenin in the Uygur breast cancer was82.8%, obviously higher than that in Han nationality which was69.9%(P<0.05); the negative rate cyclinD1in Han patients was higher than Uygur, strong positive expression rate is lower than the Uygur, the expression rate of cyclinD1were significantly different (P=0.001). Tumor-free survival time has no significant difference between β-catenin normal expression and over-expression group in different nationalities,(P>0.05); There was no significant difference in disease-free survival time between different ethnic groups with cyclinD1negative expression, but indicates statistically significant when cyclinD1positive express (P=0.001). Conclusion: the abnormal expression of β-catenin and cyclinD1positive expression rate in Uygur breast cancer were significantly higher than that in Han nationality, consider the Wnt/-catenin signaling pathway in Uygur patients may play a significant regulatory role in the development of breast cancer. Uygur breast cancer patients with cyclinD1positive may develop better prognosis.
