Objective:To explore treatment in early stages of frozen shoulder using combination of "longhujiaozhan’’(龙虎交战)acupunture with tuina against tuina in Singapore TCM clinics. Methods:According to the observations required,60patients of age range from40-60years old with frozen shoulder for2months randomly divide into2groups into treatment group and control group of30cases each. Treatment group using " longhujiaozhan"(龙虎交战)acupunture with tuina,the control group using tuina,1week2times,10times as1course, after1course of treatment, measure each group the painscore VAS and4movements of shoulder, in upwards, abduction, medial rotation, lateral rotation and its effects outcome."Longhujiaozhan"(龙虎交战)is twisting of needles in clockwise directions of needles towards the left or front9times then anti-clockwise to the right or back6times,back and forth till there is sensations. Leave the needles for30minutes, every10minutes twisting of the needles to stimulate the pulse sensation. After acupunture, followed by tuina on the affected shoulder paying attentions to the acupoints and gently swinging, pulling, pushing of the affected arm in the movements of shoulder total takes about20-30minutes, Administer the same tuina for the control group.Results:(1) Using the statistics analysis, before treatment both groups are of the same symptoms no mere difference in painscore (P>0.05) but after treatment the painscore there is difference between the2groups (P<0.05), there is no mere difference in movements of shoulders in both groups before treatment and after treatment, found movements up and medial rotation have no difference(P>0.05),but there is significance difference in abduction (P<0.01)and lateral rotation (P<0.05)(2) The clinical overall outcome effects in treatment group and control group no significance difference (P>0.05); but the recovery cases has significance difference (P<0.05). Conclusions:(1) Both groups in the early stages of frozen shoulder show effective treatment, as the pain is lesser and increased mobility of the shoulder.(2)Using combination of longhujiaozhan "(龙虎交战)acupuncture with tuina shows effective treatment and recovery in the early stages of frozen shoulder.(3) Using combination of" longhujiaozhan’’(龙虎交战)acupuncture with tuina shows relieving pain more than the tuina itself. (4) Using combination of " longhujiaozhan’’(龙虎交战)icupuncture with tuina have shown improve movements as in abduction and lateral rotation of the shoulder.Early stages frozen shoulder:stage1or The "freezing"or painful stage, which may last3months in which patient has a slow onset of pain as the pain worsens, the shoulder loses motion."Longhujiaozhan"(龙虎交战)known as "Dragon war" needle is a classical needle acupuncture method, mainly used in the treatment of cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, bone hyperplasia, frozen shoulder,rheumatic arthritis, knee arthritis,tennis elbow, headache,migraine pain and various sprains."Long" refers turn left, that thumb forward of twisting;"tiger" is right after the big point that twisting, twirling,"war" is alternating twisting and twirling that is the number9point thumb forward twisting force; then turn right twirling6point, such repeated implementation. It is a left to right fuel burning96is analgesic characteristics.tuina:a kind of physical therapy used to relieve or eliminate symptoms and treat disease by stimulating position or acupoint on the surface of the body with manipulation, or by moving the affected limbs. One of the8manipulation of bone setting used for relaxing the muscle,dissipating blood stasis and promoting subsidence of swelling.
