background and objective of research:Casual Blood Pressureresponse to real patients blood pressure is affected by many factors.It’sbetter to reflex the real situations by ABPM.The study is to research therelationship between BPL and carotid atherosclerosis,in order to guide theclinical works.Methods: All the patient were addmitted in the neurology departmentof2ndaffiliated hospital of CQMU from January2012to December2013.The information of all the objects of study who met inclusionexclusion criteria is collected.The datas include amulatory blood pressuremonitering(ABPM),metabolic index and so on.CIMT and nature of carotidplaques is measured by color ultrasound. BPL is divided into three grades(0~10%,10-40%,40%).CIMT is greater than1mm for thickening.Plaquenature is divided into no plaque, hard plaque, mixed plaque and softplaque[16].The relationship between blood pressure load and atherosclerosisis analyzed using logistic regression model. Results:CIMT thickening has correlation to daytime SBPL.Therelationship is also exist even though making other relevant variables underconsideration.In other words, the heavier daytime SBPL is the thickerCIMT is. CIMT has great relevance with history of stroke,Cholesterollevels,lipid-lowering medicine,antihypertensive agents.CIMT has nocorrelation with gender,smoking,drinking,history of heart disease, DM,CRP, TG, LDL, HDL(P>0.05).To study the correlation between BPL andthe nature of plaques by multivariate logistic regression found nocorrelations.Conclusion:It is proved through the retrospective study that theelderly CIMT is positively correlated with daytime SBPL. It is also knowas the heavier daytime SBPL is the heavier carotid atherosclerosis is. Thedaytime SBPL is an independent risk factor of CIMT thickening. Thenature of carotid plaques and the BPL of eldly people do not be seenobvious correlation.
