Objective To assess the efficacy,analysis of predictors of overallsurvival and adverse reactions in childhood aplastic anemia in Children’ sHospital of Chongqing Medical University.Methods The current study aimed to determine the IST(Cyclosporineplus stanozolol) curative effect,the predictive factors for response to ISTin patients with aplastic anemia and summarize the adverse reactionsfollowing IST. A total of47patients diagnosed with aplastic anemia whoreceived IST with CSA plus Stanozolol between September2008andAugust2013were included. The Univariate analysis and multivariateanalysis were done by using SPSS19.0for Windows.Results With a median follow-up duration of21.07months,complete response rate25.53%and overall response rate was estimated tobe63.83%, respectively.25SAA cases had poor responses rate were56.0%and22NSAA cases had better responses were72.8%.No patients Clonalevoluted to Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria or Acute myeloidleukemia. By Univariate analysis, Initial WBC<2.0×109/L(P=0.029),bonemarrow Hematopoietic area (P=0.004), bone marrow smear lymphoid ratio(P=0.018), bone marrow smear myeloid ratio(P=0.001)and bonemarrow megakaryocytes (P=0.006) had correlation with efficacy of ISTcurative effect. By multivariate analysis, duration more than1month(RR=0.063,P=0.035) and bone marrow hematopoietic area Less than10%(RR=2.778,P=0.029)were independent predictors of IST curative effect.Conclusion The outcome of patients treated with Cyclosporine plusStanozolol was favorable.
