Objective: Investigate the effect of special rectification of the rationaluse of antimicrobial drugs to the inpatients suffering from severepneumonia on prognosis.Methods:744cases in2011from January to December (Group beforerectification) and536cases in2012from January to December (Groupafter rectification) in hospitalized children diagnosis of severe pneumonia,to study the clinical data retrospectively.Results:(1)After rectification the AUD fell from30.28to20.83,reduced31.21%.(2) After rectification the antimicrobial utilization rate fellfrom (99.92%±0.29%) to (94.15%±3.62%), there’s statistical differencebetween the Group before rectification and the Group after rectification(P<0.001).(3)The antimicrobial drug combination of the Group beforerectification is mainly duplex use(76.45%),but mainly single use(60.47%)after rectification, and they have statistical difference(P<0.001).(4) The sputum culture rate of the Group before rectification is93.01%,and afterrectification it’s93.84%, there’s no statistical difference(p=0.5551).(5)there’s no statistical difference between the Group before rectification andthe Group after rectification on the prognosis,the complications ofsepticemia,the hospitalization days and the hospital costs((P>0.05).Conclusion: After special rectification of antimicrobial drugsreasonable application in Chongqing,the AUD and the antimicrobialutilization rate in our hospital has dropped obviously,but there’s nosignificant changes on the prognosis,the complications of septicemia,thehospitalization days and the hospital costs, prompted that it did not affectthe prognosis of inpatients,and the hospitalization days,the risk of hospitalinfection and the hospital costs did not increase.
