Objective: To evaluate risk factors of progressive ischemic stroke (PIS) inpopulation of China. To provide for decision-making on progressiveischemic stroke (PIS) prevention, through investigating the correlation andevaluate the correlation degree between stroke and the following factorsincluding history of hypertension、stroke history、history of alcohol、history of diabetes、coronary heart disease、tobacco, carotid stenosis、Feverand high blood glucose on admission、 hypertension and fibrinogenincreased on admission in PIS of China using meta-analysis method. Methods: We searched several domestic databases to identify clinicalcontrolled trials about the risk factors of stroke in progression. Aftercollecting5epidemiology literatures domestic that reported on correlationsbetween PIS in Chinese and the following factors including Fever and highblood glucose on admission, history of diabetes, stroke history, hypertension on admission, history of hypertension, coronary heart disease, history of alcohol, tobacco, carotid stenosis, fibrinogen increasedhyperlipidemia. The quality of included studies was critically assessedand data analyses were performed by using Cochrane Collaboration’s RevMan5.0software. And Using Rev Man5.0software test forheterogeneity was performed, pooled OR value and95%confidenceinterval calculated. Results: Totally,5epidemiological studies were analyzed synthetically byMeta-analysis. The cumulative cases and controls were1009and480respectively. The pooled odds ratio (OR) values and95%CI were asfollows:Fever on admission3.33[1.77,6.28]、 high blood glucose onadmission3.18[1.84,5.48]、history of diabetes2.31[1.70,3.28]、strokehistory1.84[1.37,2.46]、carotid stenosis1.39[1.07,1.79]respectively (P <0.05for all).oral contraceptive use;History of hypertension, coronary heartdisease, history of alcohol, tobacco, On admission fibrinogen increased andhypertension, although the OR values were greater than1, hyperlipidemiamerger OR value0.92,95%CI but they are contains "1", both P values>0.05, no statistical significance.According to the characteristics of thecollected data, this study on the different risk factors sensitivity analysis, and the cumulative, the history, history of diabetes, and stroke fever andhyperglycemia on admission, history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease result is reliable, high credibility; History of alcohol, tobacco, fibrinogen increased and high blood pressure on admission, carotid stenosis results poor stability, the result is not reliable, credibility isnot high.Conclusions:1.affect PIS in population of China are fever and high blood glucose on admission, history of diabetes, history of stroke,carotidstenosis;2. OR as effect index, according to the standard Wynder, fever onadmission, high blood glucose on admission and diabetes associated withadvanced the occurrence of cerebral apoplexy is moderate, history of strokeand carotid stenosis with advanced the occurrence of cerebral apoplexy wasa weak correlation.
