ObjectiveTo compare the body composition of different age group children, and searchthe standards for screening overweight obesity of body fat rate through deviationmethod. To compare the overweight obesity detection rates using two screeningstandards. To analyze the body composition’s characteristic of obese children. Searchthe characteristics of the obese from different angle (body composition, age, physicalquality). And then analyze the obesity’s effects on physical quality and growth. Tofind the scientific basis for reduce the detection rate of overweight and obesity.MethodsZhengzhou and Xingyang were selected as samples. Each selected school incluster sampling in small classes. The investigates including height, weight,50-meterrunning, standing long jump, muscle strength, endurance running, sit and reach andother physical qualities; Body fat rate, body moisture rate, rate of skeletal muscle andbone mineral content, basal metabolism and other body composition; left hand, wristX-ray measurement of bone age. The data was analyzed with SPSS12.0.Results1. The average of body fat rate of boy’s (8.4%) was less than girl’s (19.9%)(P<0.001). And the body fat rate was on the rise along with the age. The girl’s body fatrate were higher than the boy’s in each age group (P<0.001); The average of BMIrespectively for boy’s (19.6),girls (19.3)(P=0.112); The boy’s mean of body moisturerate(57.7%) was higher than the girl’s(53.0%); The boy’s mean of skeletal musclerate(42.6%) was higher than the girl’s(40.1%); The boy’s mean of fat freemass(42.0kg) was higher than the girl’s(35.4kg); The boy’s mean of fat free massindex(17.6kg/m2) was higher than the girl’s(15.3kg/m2); The boy’s mean of bonemineral content (2.3kg) was higher than the girl’s(1.9kg)(P<0.001);2.The rate of overweight and obesity using body fat rate of boy’s were12.8%and4.0%, and the girl’s were13.5%and2.8%(P>0.05); The rate using BMI of boy’s were17.4%and12.1%, and the girl’s were11.6%and4.9%. The boys’ were higherthan the girls’(P<0.001); And the boy’s rate for overweight and obesity detection theof BMI were higher than that of body fat rate; The two methods of consistency checkthe Kappa value=0.494, P<0.001, the two methods have medium consistency.3. The body fat rate, bone mineral content and fat-free weight performance forobesity> overweight> the normal group, and PFI, the differences between skeletalage and chronological age, the water rate of body, the rate of skeletal muscleperformance for normal group> overweight> obesity; The physical quality indexperformance (±s) of normal group was0.2±3.2, overweight was-1.5±3.2, obesitygroup was-2.7±4.0; Boy’s rate of PFI≤0of overweight obesity group (73.3%) washigher than normal group (47.9%)(P<0.001), and the girl’s rate of overweightobesity group (65.5%) was higher than the normal group (47.1%)(P<0.001); Boy’srate of differences between skeletal age and chronological age≤0of overweightobesity group (67.5%) was higher than the normal group (51.7%)(P<0.001); and thegirl’s rate also showed the overweight obesity group (60.7%) was higher than thenormal group (43.1%)(P<0.001);4. The height of boy’s in overweight obesity group (155.7±12.3) was higherthan the normal group (151.5±14.4)(P=0.003). And the girl’s in overweight obesitygroup (151.5±10.4) and normal group (149.2±12.4) difference was not statisticallysignificant (P=0.064); Overweight obesity was a risk factor for physical quality toreduce (OR for boys2.990, girls2.135, total2.509).And overweight, obesity was arisk factor for premature increase bone age development (OR for boys1.938, girls2.038, total1.996)(P <0.001);5. The correlation coefficient of BMI and body fat rate was0.904for boys and0.883for girls; The correlation coefficient of basal metabolic rate and body fat ratewas0.651for boys and0.716for girls; The correlation coefficient of bone age andbody fat rate was0.434for boys and0.627for girls; The correlation coefficient ofbody quality and body fat rate was-0.255for boys and-0.200for girls;Conclusions1.Boy’s body fat rate was lower than the girl’s. And the boy’s BMI, bodymoisture rate, rate of skeletal muscle, bone mineral content, fat-free weight, fat-free mass index were higher than the girl’s.2. Boy’s overweight and obesity detection rate were higher than the girl’s usedof BMI, and the girl’s overweight and obesity detection rate were higher than theboy’s used of body fat rate. BMI overestimate the boy’s and underestimate the girl’sdetection rate.3. The compare of body fat rate, bone mineral content, fat-free weight about thethree group were showed as obesity> overweight> normal group; And PFI, the bodymoisture rate and the rate of skeletal muscle were showed as normal group>overweight> obesity;4. The probability of physical quality decline and development of bone age inadvance overweight obesity students was higher than normal incidence of2.509and1.996times respectively;5. The higher the body fat rate was, the poorer of body quality was, and thegreater of the BMI, basal metabolism and bone age were;...
