Grasping the public’s perception of risk on rabies is the significant foundation of scientific risk propagation. This thesis is based on data sampling of the public’s risk perception on rabies from villages in Laibin city of Guangxi province to explore the characteristics, structure and relevant influencing factors of the public’s perception on rabies. We use the method of stratified random sampling and carried out a face-to-face questionnaire survey to residents of14villages in Laibin city of Guangxi province, and conducted correlation analysis, T-test, ANOVA analysis and factorial analysis on the data of2000effective quesionaires. The study shows that the7dimensionalities of the risk perception on rabies of the public are risk-taking tendency, worry tendency, maneuverability, consequences severity, likelihood of occurrence, economic interest and ways to understand. The significance marshalling sequence of those dimensionalities is risk-taking tendency, worry tendency, maneuverability, consequences severity, likelihood of occurrence, economic interest and ways to understand. The differences of significance make the different influence-levels of risk perception. The public’s different scores of each dimensionalities also demonstrated the diversities of risk perception. We still found that the factors of population statistics such as age, profession, standard of culture, and how media is used like way to obtain information, contact frequency, and purpose of media-using contribute to the diversities of perception of risk on rabies. In order to improve the countrymen’s perception of risk on rabies, we suggest increasing communication of knowledge of rabies through televisions, papers, books, Internet, mobile phones, and leaflets, encouraging the public to add contact frequency, increasing knowledge and learning skills rather than using the media for time spending or entertainment, enhance the public’s perception levels of risk on rabies.
