Expression Of MMP-11and Fibulin-2in Gastric Cancer And Its Clinical Significance

Objective:To investigate the correlation of MMP-11and Fibulin-2protein expression with the clinieopathological parameters in gastric cancer.Methods:Immunohistoehemistry was used to examine the expression of MMP-11and Fibulin-2Proteins in gastrieearcinoma(n=72) and normal gastric mueosa part from cancer(>5cm, n=72).The data were processed by chi-square test and the correlation was analyzed by Spearman test.Results:The positive rates of MMP-11and Fibulin-2protein expression in gastric carcinoma were73.6%(53/72) and25.0%(18/72),respectively.The expression of Fibulin-2was significantlly correlated with tumor infiltration,lymph nodes metastasis and stage,while The expression of MMP-11was significantlly correlated with tumor infiltration,tumor differentiation,lymph nodes metastasis and stage.Further more, the expression of MMP-11was negatively correlated with the expression of Fibulin-2(r=-0.426, P<0.01)Conclusions:The expression of MMP-11and Fibulin-2may be associated with the invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.Combined examination of three indexes may be used to evaluate the biological behavior of gastric carcinoma.
