Factors Affecting The Healing Of Meniscal Suture After Analysis

Object i veThis study is to analyze the differences in the factors that whether they may cause in different results to healing of meniscus after repairing. In turn, this may provide reference for surgery and rehabilitation plans.MethodsSelected from January2012to December2013in our hospital, all the patients have taken arthroscopic knee meniscal suture, there are a total of43patients. All these cases are the patients who are diagnosed as meniscus injury. And the types of tear are longitudinal or delamination and they were repaired by the same surgeon using FasT-Fix arthroscopic meniscal suture(at least one or more injury was repaired). Record data, included age, length of time of onset duration, types of tear, and ask patients to fill in TCM constitution patient self-test table to assess their physical types. Grouped into age groups(≤40years of age,>40years), duration group(≤6weeks and>6weeks), types of tear group(longitudinal, delamination), physical group(gentleness physical type, biased physical type). After arthroscopic knee surgery we treat patients with the same principles of rehabilitation exercises. After3months the patients would take MRA (magnetic resonance arthrography) to assess the results of healing of meniscus. Finally, make a statistics and analysis.ResultsA total of35cases are healed,8cases are non-healed. The healing rate is81.8%while the non-healing rate is18.2%. In age group,≤40age group healing rate is81.6%,>40age group healing rate is83.3%; duration group,≤6weeks group healing rate is100%,>6weeks healing rate is74.2%; types of tear group, longitudinal group healing rate is80%, delamination group healing rate is85.7%; physical group, gentleness group healing rate is88.9%, biased group healing rate is80%. Among age group, duration group, types of tear group, the impact of physical healing results of group differences are not statistically significant (P>0.05). Although the difference is not statistically significant, but it is worth mentioning that the duration of≤6week group healing rate is100%.ConclusionMeniscal suture applies to any age classes, different injury duration, different types of tear in patients and the prognosis is good.
